During the process of global industrial expansion, China manufacturing industry is famous of innovation and quality. As a typical representative in the transformation Anjia Coating, a leading pioneer in coating field, is known for its integrated design-to-installation service model andunwavering commitment to delivering excellence. In 2023, Anjia Coating partnered with NASCO to undertake the full design, manufacturing, and installation of a complete vehicle painting production line. The result was nothing short of transformational—not only for the NASCO plant but also for the reputation of Chinese engineering abroad.
This modernized line spans the entire workflow: ED sanding, sealer, PVC spraying, drying oven, primer spraying, topcoat spraying, clear coat spraying, inspection & polishing and so on. Dealing with such a complex project demands sophisticated technology, swift execution, and seamless teamwork. Under the leadership of deputy general manager and project manager, Anjia rose to the occasion—delivered in time and earning accolades from NASCO.
Anjia Coating occupies an important position in the coating industry. With years of experience in coating and surface treatment, the company offers turnkey solutions—from initial consultation and feasibility studies to engineering design, equipment manufacturing, automated control integration, on-site installation, and commissioning. Rooted in its philosophy of “Technology as Spear, Service as Shield”, Anjia Coating has developed a global portfolio of successful projects across automotive, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles, and industrial coatings.
Anjia emphasizes:
Innovation-driven R&D: Our dedicated team works on coating chemistry, process simulation, and smart control system to ensure cutting-edge performance.
Quality assurance: Robust testing labs and strict QA control guarantee coating consistency, environmental compliance, and adherence to international standards.
Global delivery capacity:We are equipped with a manufacturing base with modular prefabrication capability and supported by an international logistics and service network.
Sustainability commitment: An emphasis on energy-saving technologies, low-VOC coatings, and waste minimization aligns with the global push for greener production.
These strengths formed the bedrock of success in the NASCOEgyptian project, reinforcing Anjia’s reputation for reliability, speed, and technical excellence.
NASCO’s Egyptian plant, instrumental in local automotive production, was burdened by outdated coating infrastructure. An upgraded painting line was imperative—but this meant we have to deal with:
Standard differences: The environmental protection requirements and industry standards in Egypt differ from those in China. The design needs to take into account both local regulations and international norms
Complex construction environment: As Egypt’s industrial supply chain is underdeveloped, over 90% of equipment and spare parts had to be produced in China and shipped overseas
Tight timeline: NASCO demanded we should finish the project within five months, so every step must be precise and efficient.
Deputy general manager and project manager established a rapid-response task force. Their guiding mantra—“Technology First, Coordinated Progress”—defines every decision from that moment.
Anjia’s technical team embarked on multiple site visits to Egypt, working closely with NASCO engineers to translate production needs and local conditions into a feasible blueprint.
Key innovations included:
Process optimizations for climate: Considering the climate of Egypt (high temperature and dusty), the sealing performance of the spray booth and the filtration efficiency of the air supply system have been enhanced.
Smart control: Automated control system was introduced to harmonize paint flow, oven temperatures, and conveyor synchronization, which minimized manual variation and improved coating consistency.
Environmental compliance: Low-VOC materials and efficient waste handling systems were integrated to meet Egypt’s evolving emission regulations .
Deputy general manager remarked:
“Every nuance matters—any error in oversea technical deployment can result in huge loss.”
When the painting equipment arrived, problems followed one after another. The temperatures reached 45 °C (113 °F) in Egyptian summer, our team had to work over 10-hour per shift. Besides battling the heat, coordinating with local staff was obstacle to be overcome, including:
Language and cultural barriers: The local workers don't understand English, so we specially hired two Arabic interpreters. Besides, we also had our English translator to assist in communication process.
ED sanding sealing issue: Due to the local workers' inexperience in operation, dust was found to overflow during the first trial run. Engineers from Anjia adjusted the parameters of the fans overnight and retrained the employees, eventually meeting the environmental protection standards.
Leveling in the topcoat booth: A slight orange peel phenomenon appears on the paint surface after spraying. After investigation by the technical team, it was found that the unstable local voltage caused the fluctuation in baking temperature. They immediately installed a voltage stabilizing device, and the problem was easily solved.
Our team has been stationed on site for over six months. They coordinate the installation during the day and holding meetings to review the situation at night. As deputy general manager reflected:
“What drove us forward was team spirit. Every setback was a shared challenge—not an individual burden.”
Upon the design was settled down, fabrication moved ahead swiftly at Anjia’s factory. Deputy general manage enforced a strict production ethos: “Zero defects, zero delays.” Each component underwent rigorous quality inspection—dimensional accuracy, coating adhesion, electrical integrity, and functional testing were all closely monitored.
However, global maritime challenges threatened the schedule. The 2024 shipping crisis around the Red Sea caused severe container shortages and port congestion. In response, the team pivoted:
Batch-wise export: Critical modules were prioritized for early shipment.
Customs coordination: Dedicated liaisons ensured priority clearance for assigned shipments.
Air-freight contingency: When bulk shipments stalled at the port, deputy general manage authorized air transport for high-priority loads. Although the cost increased, the overall progress was maintained.
These strategic maneuvers preserved the project’s timeline, which was the linchpin of success in global projects.
In just six months, from a barren space to a modern painting workshop, from lines on the blueprint to a highly efficient production line, the NASCO Egyptian plant was outfitted with a world-class painting line with improved coating efficiency
This project—from design to delivery,—speaks volumes about the collaborative power of Anjia Coating. As deputy general manager and project manager often emphasize:
“Overseas success is never about individual heroism; it’s about shared belief, shared teamwork, and shared results.”
Buoyed by this success, Anjia Coating is poised to expand its global footprint. With an eye toward emerging markets and a growing demand for high-efficiency coating systems, Anjia will continue to:
Innovate with Industry 4.0 technologies—smart sensors, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven process optimization.
Expand modular manufacturing to deliver solutions in shorter turnarounds.
Forge deeper partnerships in the automotive, heavy machinery, aerospace, and renewable energy sectors.
Integrate greener practices—such as water-based coatings, solvent recovery, and carbon footprint tracking—to advance sustainable manufacturing globally.
