In the context of the global transformation towards intelligent and green manufacturing, Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Geely Group, located in Wenling, Zhejiang Province, invested in the construction of a pre-treatment electrophoretic production line and industrial wastewater treatment system in October 2021, with the aim of achieving the following goals:
1. Enhance the adhesion, and corrosion resistance of frame coatings;
2. Realize automated and intelligent management of production process;
3. Ensure wastewater meets the Class B standards of Water Quality Standard for Discharge into Urban Sewerage Systems (GB/T31962-2015);
4. Reduce operating costs and improve resource utilization efficiency.
This project focuses on the PT/ED coating of motorcycle frames and the supporting wastewater treatment system. Anjia Coating introduced automated equipment and intelligent control systems, which significantly enhances coating quality while achieving wastewater treatment and resource recycling.
The entire line includes 26 processes, such as rinsing, degreasing, phosphating, electrophoresis, drying, and cooling.
Pretreatment: Utilizes a multi-stage countercurrent water replenishment design, significantly saving water and improving cleaning efficiency;
Phosphating: Employs automated dosing and sludge removal systems to ensure uniform and dense phosphating film formation;
Electrophoresis: cathode electrophoresis technology with segmented voltage control (0–250V, 150–350V), enhancing coverage in inner cavities and welds;
Ultrafiltration Recovery: Achieves electrophoresis paint recovery rates of >95%, reducing material waste;
DI Rinsing System: Combines reverse osmosis and mixed-bed technology, achieving a water production rate of >70% and conductivity of ≤2 μS/cm.

Equalization and Homogenization: Equipped with an adjusting tank for aerated mixing to balance water quality and quantity;
Chemical Demulsification and Coagulation: Dosing with PAC, PAM, and other agents to break down emulsified oils;
Parallel-flow inclined plate sedimentation: Efficiently separate suspended solids from floating oil;
Air flotation water purifier: Solvent air flotation further removes fine particles and colloidal substances;
Biological contact oxidation: Utilize filler biofilms to degrade organic matter and purify water quality;
Sludge dewatering: The spiral press filter dries the sludge into a sludge cake and transports it for disposal.
The project deeply integrates smart manufacturing concepts, establishing an intelligent control and data management system covering the entire process:
1. Control system monitors real-time production data and equipment status.
2. The drying oven conducts multi-point temperature monitoring and plots temperature curves.
3. It automatically records data such as output.
4. It supports remote operation and fault diagnosis.

Anjia Coating has established a long-term cooperative relationship with Qianjiang Motorcycle to ensure the efficient operation of the system throughout its entire life cycle, providing:
1. 7×24-hour technical support, with on-site response within 12 hours (within 300 km);
2. Equipment warranty for one year and lifetime maintenance;
3. Training and spare parts.
The successful implementation of Qianjiang Motorcycle’s project has not only significantly improved the surface quality and anti-corrosion performance of products, but also achieved environmental benefits through the construction of the wastewater treatment system.
